Meet the Pastor
Rev. Dr. Trent L. Williams is the son of Thomas W. Williams and Gladys L. Williams who both now are taking the long sleep. Dr. Williams is a native of Decatur, Illinois.
Dr. Williams commenced his preaching ministry at the age of 20 and his pastoral ministry at 23. Over the last 30 plus years God has highly favored him by allowing explosive growth and outreach to accompany his ministry. He has pastored Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church of Decatur, IL, St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church of Peoria, IL, and Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Muskegon, MI. Dr. Williams began his leadership of Miracle Missionary Baptist Church of Alexander City, AL, November 8, 2020. Dr. Williams has served at different capacities throughout the District and State levels while serving in Illinois and Michigan, as well as the National Baptist Convention of America International prior to moving Alabama. Dr. Williams is the newly appointed Director of Christian Education for the Alabama Northeast District Convention. Dr. Wiliams has co-authored two books “Fix My Prayer Life” and “Happy New You”.
In September of 2012, Dr. Williams organized Trent L. Williams Ministries. It is his desire through this ministry to reach the world by preaching and teaching the Word of God. He wants the world to know that there is a “Brand New Day” coming by taking the Word to the world!
Dr. Williams is married to the former Dr. Jacquelyn T. Bailey. They have been blessed with two sons, Thomas “TJ” and Bailey.
History
The emergence of the Miracle Missionary Baptist Church is truly by divine providence. Rev. Dr. Eddie L. Hunter had every reason not to return to Alexander City, Alabama; but the Lord had a mission for his life “THAT HE HAD” to fulfill. While he and the Lord were in deep conversation one night. He was given instructions to return home and start a new ministry and call it MIRACLE.
When Dr. Hunter had his installation at Thankful Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia, on January 30, 2000. He was surprised to see that two busloads of family and friends had traveled from Alexander City to support him. The Lord whispered to him this is your congregation. Being obedient to God Dr. Hunter resigned on February 28, 2000, from Thankful and returned to begin the ministry of MIRACLE.
MIRACLE members have traveled a rough and rocky road since her humble start. We have lost some great soldiers along the way, but we have also gained dedicated and committed members to this ministry. God planted this see MIRACLE and has fertilized her growth. It was ordained by God for this specific time before the foundation of the world.
On Sunday, April 5, 2020, the Lord called MIRACLE’S FOUNDER, Rev. Dr. Eddie L. Hunter to come and take his rest for he had been a dedicated servant and had earned his crown. Then on September 2, 2021, the Lord called Lady Linda H. Hunter to receive her crown. After much prayer and searching MIRACLE called Rev. Dr. Trent L. Williams as her new pastor. Dr. Williams began his pastorate on November 8, 2020. Dr. Williams was installed as pastor on February 14, 2021.
